Marshall Medical Centers was honored as the recipient of the Hero of the Year award from the Albertville Chamber of Commerce.
Marshall Medical Centers was honored as the recipient of the Hero of the Year award from the Albertville Chamber of Commerce. The award was bestowed at the chamber’s Annual Awards Banquet and Membership Meeting. This event is held to celebrate the local business community’s success over the past year by awarding small business of the year, industry of the year and citizen of the year. This year’s selection committee wanted to honor Marshall Medical Centers (MMC) for their service to the Albertville community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The committee decided to present a special recognition award or “Hero award” to MMC for their support of the citizens of Albertville and Marshall County. “Although MMC does not have a location in Albertville, we know they service our community greatly as we are the largest municipality in the county. And for this reason, we felt they deserved this recognition,” said Stan Witherow, president of the Albertville Chamber of Commerce.
Receiving the award on behalf of Marshall Medical Centers was Chief Nursing Officer Kathy Woodruff. “I was humbled and honored to receive the award on behalf of everyone at Marshall Medical. I was also grateful for the opportunity to thank all of the Chamber and community for their continued support over the past two years. The prayers, prayer vigils, food, masks, supplies, etc., that the community gifted to the staff made such a difference in keeping their morale high,” Kathy stated.
The staff at Marshall Medical Centers is honored to receive this award and look’s forward to continuing serving the people of Marshall County and beyond.
