GUNTERSVILLE, AL— April 20, 2021 - A water feature designating Marshall Medical Centers’ mid-county campus as the Gary R. Gore Medical Complex has been unveiled. The display honors the longtime CEO who retired last April after 30 years.
Gore, a native of Albertville, led Marshall Medical Centers as both administrator and Chief Executive Officer through advances and upheavals in the healthcare industry. The Gary R. Gore Medical Complex consists of the Marshall Cancer Care Center and the Marshall Professional Center. Constructed in 2013, the 22,000 square foot facility is an associate of the UAB Health System Cancer Community Network.
Marshall Professional Center houses clinics and physician offices including the Sleep Disorders Center, the Wound Healing Center, Marshall Imaging, Marshall Rheumatology and the Northeast Alabama Vascular and Vein Specialist.
After graduating from Albertville High School in 1978 and attending Snead State Community College, Gore earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management from The University of Alabama and a Master of Science degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
