A Leap Day Celebration of Life

In a rare and joyous occasion, Marshall Medical Centers is thrilled to announce the arrival of three precious Leap Day babies born on February 29, 2024. As the world celebrated this extra day that appears on our calendars only once every four years, our hospitals were graced with the magic of new life.

Leap Day, often deemed as the "extra day," is traditionally a day known for its uniqueness. Marshall Medical Centers embraced this rarity as three families welcomed their bundles of joy, adding an extra touch of magic to the already special day.

Both Marshall Medical North and South were bustling with excitement as families and medical staff eagerly anticipated the special births. The proud parents, who now share an extraordinary connection with their Leap Day babies, expressed their delight and awe at the remarkable timing of their little ones' arrivals.

  1. Baby 1: Madison Kate Duncan

Madison was the first Leap Day baby to make her debut at Marshall Medical South, arriving at 9:31 AM, and tipping the scales at 10 pounds, 11 ounces. Mom, Hollie was also a special baby, as she was the last baby to born of her birth year making her a New Year's Eve Baby.

  1. Baby 2: Alondra Esteranza Alcantara Sebastian

Alondra followed suit at 5:36 PM at Marshall Medical South weighing a dainty 6 pounds, 8 ounces. Her parents, Angeliana Sebastian Fransico and Julian Preza were amazed at the unique timing of her birth and look forward to sharing stories about her special day for years to come.

Baby 3: Zaire James
