Marshall County Now "Home" for New Physicians

GUNTERSVILLE, ALABAMA - September 1, 2006– Marshall Medical Centers’ recent recruiting initiatives have lead to several new physicians now calling Marshall County “home.” The list includes a host of specialties ranging from Anesthesiology to Urology and everything in between. These new additions are the result of an ongoing effort on the part of the Marshall County Healthcare Authority and Marshall Medical Centers’ administration to continue its commitment to providing Marshall County residents the best in healthcare.

Sue Robertson – physician recruiter for Marshall Medical – stated, “We have been extremely successful in identifying a group of physicians who – by virtue of their education and training – bring new skills and abilities to use the latest technology in each of the specialties they represent. We are excited about what this means for the continuing quality of care within our health system. Our recruiting standards are high, and our goal has always been to bring in new physicians who will enable us to maintain the benchmark of high quality care already established by our existing physicians. This class of recruits is consistent with that standard. All have had special training opportunities through their residency programs, and all have been in the position of being recruited by some of the nation’s largest healthcare systems – but have chosen to make Marshall County their home.”
