Marshall Diagnostic Center (MDC) is an outpatient diagnostic facility that perfectly compliments the x-ray, mammography imaging and laboratory services offered from Marshall Medical Center North.

Centrally located in Guntersville, MDC offers a convenient and time-saving alternative to patients who would otherwise drive to Marshall Medical Center North in order to have routine imaging and laboratory tests and/or procedures performed. Because of MDC's proximity to many physicians' offices in the central-Guntersville area, patients who have tests performed at MDC can often times return to their physician's office a short time after the tests for treatment based on the results of their procedure- thus eliminating the need for a return patient visit. In many instances, physicians access a patient's x-ray images and/or radiology reports via the Internet even before the patient returns to the office.

The digital x-ray equipment at MDC performs the full range of routine x-rays. Its digital mammography machine is accredited by the American College of Radiology and is equipped with computer aided detection (CAD) software which aids the radiologist in the detection of breast lesions. The MDC staff includes two nationally registered x-ray technologists who are also registered in mammography as well as a registered medical laboratory technologist.

MDC is fully Accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
